Local Sports Fans Growing Upset With TWC & MSG Network
I was watching a Buffalo Sabres game on MSG last week and scrolling along the bottom was details about MSG no longer being carried on Time Warner Cable. What? I responded and got a return email.

It reads:
Thank you for supporting MSG Networks.
We are doing everything we can to allow MSG & MSG+ to remain on Time Warner Cable.
We will be sure to keep you updated as negotiations continue; however, please know you do have other options. To switch to another TV provider, please visit www.keepmysabres.com or call 888-SABRES3 (888-722-7373).
Lastly, please help us tell others that they too are at risk of losing their Buffalo Sabres and New York Knicks coverage this season. Use the links below to share the message with your fellow sports fans via Facebook and Twitter.
Thank you for your viewership and continued support.
Sincerely,
MSG Networks
Wow, money changes everything. I dug a little deeper and discovered that the dispute knocked MSG and MSG+ off of Time Warner as of Sunday. Also gone is the HD Sabres channel 1050 ‘SABRES’.
MSG says Time Warner subscribers will miss 15 New York Knicks basketball games, nine New York Rangers hockey games, and 11 New Jersey Devils hockey games. Oh yeah, ALL the Buffalo Sabres hockey games on Time Warner in upstate New York. I along with other sports fans in Central NY are getting upset.
Time Warner says it won’t pay a 53 percent fee increase sought by MSG. MSG says it is not seeking a 53 percent increase. It says it wants to be paid the same as other TV providers. MSG has urged viewers to switch cable providers. I certainly hope they’ll work out a deal soon.
