If you're not happy in your current job situation or maybe you just missed out on the exam last time, Oneida County is looking for Correction Officers and the exam is coming up on February 2nd.

This position exists in the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office (Criminal Division) and involves "responsibility on an assigned shift for the enforcement of rules and regulations governing security, conduct, discipline, safety and general well being of inmates of the County correction facility."

There will be a written test which you must pass in order to be considered for appointment. The written test will be designed to evaluate knowledge, skills, and/or abilities in different areas.

Each application must include the $25 non-refundable, non-transferable money order. In order to be eligible for the position, you must have a valid New York State drivers license, you must be a U.S. citizen and you must be over the age of 18.
