The GRAMMY Signature Schools Enterprise Award Presentation will honor the Madison Central High School for achieving GRAMMY® Signature Schools Enterprise status with an award of $5,500.00. A total of 36 schools have been named as GRAMMY Signature Schools for 2011, with 27 schools across the country receiving an Enterprise Award for 2011. The Enterprise Award category recognizes efforts made by schools that are economically underserved.  The awards ceremony and concert take place tonight at 7 at the Madison High School Auditorium.

Just as the GRAMMY Award recognizes excellence in recording, the GRAMMY Foundation Signature Schools program recognizes top public high schools across the country for outstanding commitment to their music education programs. This year, each of the 36 GRAMMY Signature Schools will receive a custom award and a monetary grant to benefit its music program. The top seven are designated Gold recipients. The best of the Gold recipients is designated the National GRAMMY Signature School. educators and professionals. GRAMMY Signature Schools is supported in part by Best Buy, Campbell’s Labels for Education Program, the Ford Motor Company Fund, Gibson Foundation and the Hot Topic Foundation.
