Man Drives Drunk To Police Station

As heard this morning with, news of the offbeat, a southern New Jersey man was drunk when he drove his car to a police station. This happened on Thanksgiving morning when he went to pick up someone who had been charged with, you guessed it, a DUI.
According to the Associated Press, 22-year-old Joseph Shea of Tabernacle arrived at the station around quarter to seven Thanksgiving morning to pick up his friend. He was seen driving in the parking lot of the police station erratically and at a high rate of speed. Westampton cops quickly questioned him and charged him with drunken driving. The suspect was released later that day on his own recognizance and had to be picked up by another driver, who we assume was sober at the time. Joseph Shea could not be found or reached for comment, but I’m sure he’s hoping to find a good lawyer under the tree this Christmas.
