Man Proposes to Girlfriend At Boilermaker Finish Line

Thousands of onlookers didn't deter Rob from popping the big question to Patty at the Finish Line of the Boilermaker.

The Boilermaker road race wasn't just about achieving a record time for a Cooperstown man.  At the end of the race, many sore, first time runners vowed to never run again. Meanwhile, Paul was hoping that his girlfriend would vow to spend the rest of her life with him. According to WKTV:

They met each other running, and were counselors at a camp three years ago.  Running has always been a part of their relationship. This was his 10th Boilermaker and their third together. In the words of Rob: "I know it's going to be something we're going to be doing for years to come so it's a special event every year for us."

Fortunately for Rob, she said yes!
