Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' season 2 has de-classified quite a bit in recent weeks, between new photos of the premiere and Marvel-ous additions to the cast, but it seems our 'Avengers'-adjacent series finally has its first new season 2 footage. Find out how the newest generation of 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' fare on their own with the first look at the September 23 premiere in motion!

However brief, our latest look at 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' season 2 (as tweeted by co-showrunner Maurissa Tancharoen) shows off quite a bit of new footage, including Skye interacting with an incarcerated (and evil-bearded!) Ward, as well as May taking on a figure we now know as Carl "Crusher" Creel, better known as Marvel's Absorbing Man. Elsewhere in voiceover, Coulson stresses the truth of Hydra having the advantage over a diminished S.H.I.E.L.D., though they must continue the fight undercover from the public.

Elsewhere of 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' season 2, we know that 'Xena' star Lucy Lawless will play veteran S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Isabel Hartley, while Nick Blood will join as mercenary and comic S.T.R.I.K.E. character Lance Hart. ‘Dollhouse’ star and Whedon favorite Reed Diamond will play Daniel Whitehall (Secret Wars’ Kraken) as a Hydra baddie, while 'Twin Peaks' Kyle MacLachlan will appear as Skye's apparently-gooey father. Additionally, we know Adrian Pasdar's Glenn Talbot will return to menace the team, while Cobie Smulders' Maria Hill has been confirmed for an eventual reappearance as well, and 'Friday Night Lights' star Adrianne Palicki will play Barbara Morse, better known as Marvel's "Mockingbird."

Well, what do you think? Will Coulson and co. prove better than ever in their second outing? You can see watch the team's Marvel-ous return in the new teaser-trailer above, and tell us what you want to see when Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' returns for a second season on September 23!
