Member of Super Bowl’s ‘Never Missed A Game Club’ Misses Super Bowl XLV
Okay, this will be my final post about the Superbowl.
You know that Visa commercial, in which four older fellows talk about how they’ve never missed a Super Bowl? It must be nice huh?
Well, now only three of them have been to every Super Bowl. Illness prevented Bob Cook from attending his 45th straight Super Bowl, and seeing his favorite team play, The Green Bay Packers.
Cook had planned to go, but when it was time for the Brown Deer, Wis., man to go to the airport he realized he wouldn’t be healthy enough to make the trip.
The 79-year-old’s family considered getting him a private jet equipped with a doctor or nurse, so he could keep his legendary streak alive. Ultimately, however, his daughters went in his place. Get well, maybe next year Bob.
