Men Are Filling The Supermarkets

 Was your Dad in charge of grocery shopping? My Dad always takes command going to BJ’s. He stops at it at least 4 times a week. There was a time when seeing a man in a grocery store was just plain weird but now it’s not uncommon to see a man shopping.

Well, it's 2011 now and things have changed. In fact, a recent survey from DeseretNews.com shows that 51 percent of men do the family's grocery shopping.

Marketing experts believe that despite the rising number of men doing the shopping, women still call the shots when it comes to what items to buy. Even though my Dad loves shopping at BJ’s, it’s my mom who calls the shots.

Advertisers who have always targeted women when it comes to grocery items, might begin to take notice of the growing trend of male shoppers.
