The January issue of Vogue features actress Meryl Streep on the cover.  Not only is it the first time she's on their cover, she's also making Vogue history.

According to Jezebel.com, Streep is the oldest woman to be featured on the cover of Vogue.  Streep, by the way, is 62.  Up until now, Priscilla Presley was the oldest woman Vogue had put on their cover.  That was back in 2004 when Presley was 59.  Streep has certainly had a long and distinguished career, which she talks about in the magazine.  She thought her career was pretty much over twenty years ago when she was in her early forties.  At the time, she was being offered roles to play a witch and decided it meant women in her age group were "grotesque on some level."  Streep's career didn't end and she's had other successful roles since then.  Did you know she's been nominated for sixteen Oscars?  That's more than any other actor or actress.  By the way, she's won twice.  Third time is a charm, Meryl!
