Leila Lopes of Angola took the Miss Universe crown Monday night, making her the first-ever winner from the African nation.

Olesia Stefanko of Ukraine came in second, and Priscila Machado of Brazil, which hosted the event, took third.  Miss USA Alyssa Campanella didn’t crack the top 10.

For her interview question, Lopes was asked what physical trait she would change if she could. “Thank God I’m very satisfied with the way God created me and I wouldn’t change a thing,” Lopes responded. “I consider myself a woman endowed with inner beauty. I have acquired many wonderful principles from my family and I intend to follow these for the rest of my life.”

After the pageant, the 25-year old told reporters that she will use her status as Miss Universe to help poor kids, protect the elderly, and to fight the spread of AIDS.
