More Goodwill For Herkimer Area

In the heart of the Herkimer business district, the Goodwill & Herkimer ARC Store and donation center is celebrating it's grand opening this weekend.As of now, hundreds of shoppers from throughout the Mohawk Valley have taken advantage of the savings on the thousands of items.

The 8,000 square foot store is located at 105 Caroline Street and is open Monday through Saturday from 9 'til 9, and Sunday from 10 'til 8.  It is stocked with new and used merchandise including brand name fashions, electronics, housewares, furniture, toys, sporting good, books and many more items.

The Herkimer ARC enables people with disabilities and others to achieve their full potential and to live enriched lives.  Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey empowers those with disabilities and other barriers to employment and independence.

Goodwill stores encourage efficient use of resources as well.  In 2015, Goodwill diverted 117 million pounds from local landfills.  They focus on re-purposing and recycling which is not only great for the environment, but creates green jobs as well.
