More Secret Santas Popping Up- Paying Strangers’ Bills
December 16, 2011 9:35 AM Earlier this week I told you about a young woman who secretly paid off the layaway balances at her local K-Mart. Her story made headlines and inspired a copy cat who, the next day, paid $2000 toward 18 Layaway slips. Well, didn’t I tell you it was spreading? Check out this story from Omaha, Nebraska.
People are literally breaking down in tears when they receive phone-calls from Layaway depts telling them an anonymous person has paid off their balance. Many of them have feared that they wouldn’t be able to pay for their family’s gifts by Christmas and one Mom, who was with her son at a Children’s Hospital, shouted to the nurses “We’re going to have Christmas after all!” This story has me so cheered up I can’t help but share it with you all.
