The first snowstorm of the season isn't over yet in Central New York. A Lake Effect snow warning remains in effect until 7 tonight according to the National Weather Service.

LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM TONIGHT

* Counties - Onondaga, Oneida and Madison Counties.

* Accumulations - Additional 5 to 10 inches of sow today, resulting in widely ranging storm totals of 8 to 20 inches with the heaviest in the high terrain.

* Timing - Bands fo heavy snow will continue across the area today. Snowfall rates could exceed an inch per hour. Snow showers will likely persist into tonight.

* Impacts - The heavy snow will make travel difficult and some roads impassable with occasional white outs. Isolated power outages may also occur due to the strong winds.

* Winds - Northwest 15 to 25 MPH with gusts of 35 to 45 MPH.

* Temperatures - mid 20s to lower 30s.
