No one wants to admit that they are a liar. You may claim you never lie, but think really hard is this entirely true? What about as far as your relationship goes, have you ever lied? Well maybe you did when you first started dating; it’s nothing to be ashamed of. It seems many people tell little white lies when they first start dating.

We all do it. After all, we don't want them to know all of our secrets up front, do we? Take some relationship advice, and read this. Here’s a list of the most common first date white lies:

  • "I'm not sure what I want ... what are you going to have?"
The truth: I know exactly what I want but I'm going to wait and see what you get so I know how much you're spending/eating.
  • "I never check Facebook."
The truth: Of course I check Facebook, but I don't want you to know that I've already looked you up.
  • "I was at dinner the other night ... um, with a friend, and ..."
The truth: I was on a date the other night ... with a date ... and ...
  • "Oh, are you sure? I can give you money for my part ..."
The truth: Please don't take me up on that, please don't take me up on that ...

What fibs have you told on a first date? Could you tell if your date was fibbing?
