Cooperstown

Lake George

Lake George has not only been named one of the most beautiful lakes in the country but it features The Sagamore, a Victorian-era resort hotel in Bolton Landing, New York that has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1983.

Boldt Castle

What's more romantic than a wedding at Boldt Castle on Heart Island? George Boldt built the castle as a present for his wife who died a few years later. Construction came to a halt after her death, leaving the building as a monument of his love. George Bodlt never returned to the island.


Lake Placid

Lake Placid offers something for every bride and groom in every season. Winter weddings can include skiing, skating or a trip to the Olympic center. Letchworth State Park

Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls may be the honeymoon destination but if you're already there for your wedding, you don't have far to go. Guests will love seeing the falls and taking a ride on the Maid of the Mist, to get a closer look. From casinos, wine tours and attractions, there's any number of activities your guests can enjoy. If everyone on your guest list has a passport, you may want to consider crossing the border to the Canadian side of the falls. Finger Lakes

If water and wine are your thing, the Finger Lakes are your place. There are 11 lakes in the Finger Lakes region that according to Native American legend, the fingers were an imprint of the great Spirit who laid his hands on the land and blessed it.
