Movie About Clinton Correctional Escape To Air On Lifetime

It was one of the leading national stories in June of last year.  Two murderers had escaped from the maximum security prison in Dannemora, New York.  Much of the north country was on lock down while the manhunt for Richard Matt and David Sweat  scoured the Adirondacks.

It turns out that the two killers were aided by a prison worker who had helped them plan their escape.  Joyce Mitchell was also going drive their getaway car, but backed out at the last minute.  The prisoners were then forced to flee on foot.   Mitchell has since pleaded guilty to her role in the escape.

According to the Times Union, the Lifetime movie is called "Prison Break" The Joyce Mitchell Story," will star Penelope Ann Miller, Myk Watford and Joe Anderson.  The film's planned airing on Lifetime is next year.
