New York Upstate. Com just released its "Unforgettable Sandwich" list, and Pumpernickel Deli in New Hartford made an appearance for its "Unforgettable" deli sandwiches.

New York Upstate. Com recently published a story featuring some of the most delicious sandwiches we've ever seen. Never before, have we been so upset that the pictures weren't the real deal.

Sandwiches that made list include: "Beef on a Weck" at Schawbls in Buffalo, "Meatball in a Heel" at Syracuse's Columbus Bakery, and the "Gourmet Grilled Cheese" at Bimi's in Chatham, New York.

Unlike many of the other delis and restaurants that made the list, Pumpernickel's was singled out as having an excellent "Deli Sandwich." Pumpernickel's wasn't spotlighted for having just one "Unforgettable " sandwich though; the author alluded to the fact that ALL of the deli sandwiches at Pumpernickel's are "Unforgettable."

Pumpernickel's sandwiches are piled a mile high, and come in every New York City configuration. They even name their sandwiches in homage to the legendary delicatessens of Manhattan.

One of our favorites is the 42nd Street Reuben: Turkey, corned beef, or pastrami, covered in Swiss cheese and sauerkraut, and served on grilled rye bread. Today, Matt gave it a try.

Congratulations to Pumpernickel's. Keep up the "Unforgettable" sandwiches.
