Mohawk Valley Community College is going tobacco free on both its Utica and Rome campuses starting on August 15th.

The policy, approved by the MVCC Board of Trustees, prohibits the use of tobacco and tobacco-related products at all college buildings, facilities and grounds.

The policy applies to all members of the college community, including guests and visitors.

MVCC will join more than 60 other New York State colleges in going tobacco free.

The college will provide smoking cessation assistance to faculty, staff and students who want to quit.
