Whoa! This came out of nowhere, if it is indeed true. Long broken up boy band 'N Sync, whose most famous member is Justin Timberlake, will reunite for a special performance at the MTV VMAs this Sunday (Aug. 25) night in Brooklyn.

There is some serious boy band nostalgia right now, especially for acts that dominated the late '90s and early '00s, as the Sync surely did. Timberlake, who has been on the comeback trail all year with one of the best-selling releases in the form of 'The 20/20 Experience,' will receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the ceremony. But he won't stop there.

The New York Post Page Six now reports that JT's onetime bandmates J.C. Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick will join him onstage for a reunion performance. O to the M to the F to the G. Glued to the screen -- that's what our eyes will be.

All of the former 'N Sync-ers might not have attended JT's wedding to Jessica Biel last year, but hey, that's just water under the 'N Sync bridge.

Let's just hope the boys don't attempt to take the nostalgia to a whole other level by donning attire from that period. No overly gelled Ramen Noodle curls, please. Thanks in advance, guys. Love ya, mean it. Can we get a medley?
