Did you catch what NASCAR legend, Richard Petty (aka The King) said recently about NASCAR driver Danica Patrick?  Ouch.

According to USA Today, Petty told the website Wheels.ca that Patrick could only win a race if no other cars were on the track.  However, despite that, Petty does think she's good for NASCAR.

This is a female deal that's driving her.  There's nothing wrong with that, because that's good PR for me.  More fans come out, people are more interested in it.  She has helped draw attention to the sport, which helps everybody in the sport.

This isn't the first time a member of the Petty family has been critical of Patrick.  Last year, Petty's son Kyle, who's a TV analyst, also had some harsh words for the Go Daddy driver, saying she was a "marketing machine" and "not a race car driver."

Are they being too harsh or telling it like it is?
