With only four races left, NASCAR's Sprint cup drivers are in the homestretch for the 2013 Sprint Cup Championship.  They'll be racing this Sunday in Martinsville, Virginia.  Only four points separate Matt Kenseth and Jimmie Johnson.  Good finishes at Talladega allowed Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick to inch a bit closer into contention.

Jeff Gordon also remains on the outer edges of contention.  The remaining eight qualifiers, while still statistically alive, have no realistic chance at this point.  Unfortunately, that includes Carl Edwards, my favorite driver.  Oh well, there's always next year.

I expect to see Jimmie Johnson get it done and cruise to his sixth championship.  Martinsville is one of his best tracks, so look for him to win this weekend.  The three other remaining tracks have historically been better venues for him than rival Kenseth.  However, Kenseth is having his best season and he's a smart and consistent driver.  He will keep this chase close and I think the finale at Homestead will be thrilling.
