Nestle's new limited edition Kit Kat Bar covered in Edible 24 Karat gold won't break the bank, but it will still will cost you about $16.00.

I worked as a salesman for the Nestle Company for eight years. I've seen all sorts of candy bars come and go over the years but their newest release has me super stoked.

Nestle Japan will be unveiling a limited edition Kit Kat Bar covered in edible 24 Karat gold. The bars will be individually wrapped and only 500 will be released.  Japan has seen some unusual Kit Kat flavors in the past like "Sublime Butter," and "Special Chili," and now it appears that they have outdone themselves with their latest. According to Delish.com:

It's no secret that some of the most unexpected flavor combinations come from Japan. From Coca-Cola-flavored hot dogs and Cherry Blossom burgers to Shrimp Mayonnaise Doritos, the Japanese have seen some pretty out-there food creations. Kats. The newest twist on the chocolate-wafer candy, however, is one we never saw coming: Kit Kats wrapped in edible gold leaf.

The edible gold leaves won't be flavored, but the chocolate will be of the "Sublime Bitter"  variety. Be sure to check the Nestle Japan news site for updates if you'd like to try and score one. The 500 bars will be sold exclusively in one of Japan's eight chocolate boutiques.
