New Hartford Police Have Strong Presence at Sangertown Square Mall after Unspecified Threat

The New Hartford police substation inside Sangertown Square Mall is generally a place of low activity except perhaps to deal with the occasional shoplifter. But today the police presence was high after an unspecified threat that ‘the next attack with be…at Sangertown.’
The threat is allegedly a reference to last week’s Aurora Colorado theater shooting. The threat was taken seriously by police who reportedly brought the FBI in on the case.
While it was business as usually for shoppers, there was a heavily increased police presence including the pictured New Hartford police vehicle parking in a lot near Target.
