If you are one of the million-plus people who will attend the New York State Fair at the end of the summer, you'll see a much different looking fairgrounds.  For the first time in nearly 80 years, a major renovation is in progress right now.

The 50 million-dollar project includes the recent demolition of the grandstand, enlarging the midway area and RV campgrounds, and the building of the New York Experience Center.  That area includes very scenic pathways and ponds.

The bulldozers and dump trucks should be clearing out of the fairgrounds sometime in early June, according to Syracuse.com.  This year's New York State Fair opens on August 25th.
