Last week the New York State Senate passed a bill that prohibits telemarketers from hiding their identity by using phony caller identification. However, this new law hasn't necessarily stopped them from calling.

Despite the new bill passed by the New York State Legislature, a number of Central New Yorker's have reported receiving unwanted calls from: 315-688-7573.

According to Find Out Who Calls You .Com, here's what people are saying:

I got a call 11:30 AM 6-18-16. This party did not leave a message but hung up. So many of these types of calls now a days. Caller ID said Copenhagen, NY and Google search said phone number belongs to Erica Dorando. Never heard of her and do not know her.

They called twice and hung up on us both times.

I'm sure this is another one of those "you've won a trip to the Bahamas." Scam!

When we called the number we received a message that said: " The survey you've called about has been completed." We were then prompted to press 9 if we wanted our number placed on the do not call list.
