A new comedy about a fictional Syracuse family taking a road trip to Florida premieres on Monday, April 11 starring Jason Jones, the former Daily Show correspondent.

No, it's not basketball this time for Syracuse. it's a comedy co-created by husband and wife team Jason Jones and Samantha Bee. Bee's late-night talk show, Full Frontal, premieres next month. Jones tells the Hollywood Reporter:

The 10-episode season follows Nate (Jones), who loads up the car with his wife Robin (Natalie Zea) and kids Delilah (Ashley Gerasimovich) and Jared (Liam Carroll) for an adventure to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., from their home in Syracuse, N.Y.. Along the way, their journey is fraught with disaster as they encounter one unexpected calamity after another.

Jones say this series could be thought of as "Breaking Bad: The Comedy."

"The Detour" premieres Monday, April 11, at 9 p.m. ET on TBS. The network has ordered a 10-episode season of half-hour episodes.
