Following Bobbi Kristina‘s permanent tribute to mom Whitney Houston on her inner wrists, the fallen songbird will live on through a new greatest hits compilation due this fall.

MTV reports that on Houston’s 49th birthday (Aug. 9), it was announced that a new greatest hits album spanning Houston’s entire career would be released. Few details have surfaced about the project, but it will differ slightly from her ‘Whitney: The Greatest Hits’ release from 2000, as her original compilation featured predominantly remixes of her uptempo hits, like ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody,’ as opposed to the original tracks.

‘Whitney: The Greatest Hits’ moved 836,000 copies this year, likely spawned by the star’s untimely death, selling a total of 2.6 million copies to date.

Before the release of the compilation, Houston fans can catch her in her final film role in ‘Sparkle‘ as mother to the titular character, played by Jordin Sparks. In addition to big screen images of Houston, her family will chronicle their recovery from her loss and day-to-day life in a reality series titled ‘The Houston Chronicles.’
