If you're a fan of the NFL and late night TV, you know all about Art Donovan. Perhaps you've seen the NFL lineman tell his hilarious stories about his football career on the Johnny Carson and David Letterman shows. Art's popularity continued to rise long after his election into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He passed away died Sunday night  (August 4th 2013) at the age of 89.

Art Donovan became well known in the NFL as a feisty defensive tackle for the Baltimore Colts. He helped the team make it to the world championships in 1958 and 1959. Art also spent single seasons with the New York Yanks and Dallas Texans in his football career that lasted from 1950 through 1961. And then he went on the talk show circuit and America just couldn't get enough of him.
