Nicolas Cage Doesn’t Deny He’s Immortal on ‘Letterman’ [VIDEO]
On Thursday night’s ‘Late Show With David Letterman‘ Nicolas Cage finally addressed the rumors that he is immortal, and perhaps a vampire. At this point, would we really be all that surprised by anything Cage says?
This talk started last September, when an Ebay seller found a photo of a civil war era Tennessee man who bore a startling resemblance to Cage.
The seller’s plan to auction off the photo for the princely sum of one million dollars seems to have failed. But the picture captured the imagination of the internet, and just added to the strange legend of Nic Cage.
As you can see in the clip below, Cage doesn’t even try to deny he looks like the man in the photo. Instead he just concedes that nineteenth century fellow looks like a “somewhat slowed down version of me.”

Then, using a strain of logic that Cage hasn’t always employed in his castle-buying life decisions, he dismantles the argument that he is a vampire by pointing out he is able to be photographed, and then offering prove of such photographs.
He also denied he drank blood, but that one we’re just going to have take his word for. (He did star in the movie ‘Vampire’s Kiss’ after all…) And even if Cage is one day caught sipping on the red stuff, that doesn’t necessarily mean he is vampire. It just means that he is the delightful weirdo known as Nic Cage.
