The Nissan Altima is not only a sharp looking, reliable car. It's been used in tons of movies and TV shows over the years. Let's take a look at some of the films that have a scene or two with an Altima.

Live Free or Die Hard - 2007

This action-packed film featured Bruce Willis. According to the Internet Movie Database,

John McClane and a young hacker join forces to take down master cyber-terrorist Thomas Gabriel in Washington D.C. (IMDb.com)

There are several Nissan Altimas used in this film - a 1993 Altima is seen as a background vehicle in a parking lot. A 1995 Altima is seen abandoned on a highway. And a 2005 Altima is a background vehicle in another scene - that would have been a new model when the movie was made.

Here's the original trailer from the film:

Traffic - 2000

Benicio Del Toro starred in this film about America's war on drugs, a drug kingpin and his wife, and lots of twists and turns. In this movie, a 1993 Nissan Altima is involved in a shootout in one scene.

Here's the trailer from this film:

The Day After Tomorrow - 2004

This cheerful movie was about an international superstorm that sends Earth into a new Ice Age. Early on in the film, we see Jake Gyllenhaal standing in front of a dark colored 1993 Nissan Altima.

Here's the official trailer:

Liar Liar - 1997

Jim Carrey just can't NOT lie. That is until he learns of his son's birthday wish. There is a 1993 Nissan Altima used in a scene in this film - it can be seen driving through an intersection as Jim Carrey waits at a light.

The Truman Show - 1998

Here's another Jim Carrey classic, where he discovers his whole life is being televised. We once again see a beige colored 1993 Nissan Altima as a background vehicle in one of the scenes.

Here's the trailer:

National Lampoon's Senior Trip - 1995

This classic from National Lampoon was their typical high school humor. According to the Internet Movie Database,

While on detention, a group of misfits and slackers have to write a letter to the President explaining what is wrong with the education system. (IMDb.com)

There was a dark blue colored Nissan Altima used in one scene, involved in some minor action in the film. Once again, it was the early 90's vehicle of choice - a 1993 Nissan Altima.

Here's the trailer from this classic:

Terminator Genisys - 2015

Arnold Schwarzenegger was back as John Connor in the most recent Terminator movie. This time he sends Sgt Reese back to 1984 to look after Sarah Connor. There were a couple Nissan Altimas used in this film in the "current day" scenes. It looks like they are 2000 or 2001 models, but there is some discussion about how one of the Altimas might not actually be a real car -

yep, gas tank opening wrong side and on the wrong side of the car anyway, reverse lights not long enough (Baube via Internet Movie Cars Database)
