It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!  My Christmas decorations came down in January.  Now I'm thinking about what spring flower decoration to put on my front door.  As I drove around the Utica area this weekend, I saw lots of Christmas decorations still up.  What's the deal with that? This is April.

Don't get me wrong.  I know people who leave their Christmas lights up (but not on) year round so that don't have to go through the hassle of putting them up every December.  That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about seeing houses with Christmas trees still lit up at night, both inside and outside, Christmas wreathes on the door, garland on the mailbox, etc.  Have you seen it too? I don't want to embarrass anyone by taking pictures of their houses, but I did take this picture of two Santas on Commercial Drive.  I'm sure you've seen them across from Applebee's.   Christmas is great but isn't it time to think spring and put the decorations away until next winter?  We wait soooooo long for nice weather in Central New York.  Celebrate it with spring flowers not Santa.
