It's obvious the Great New York State Fair was a huge success again this year. The event drew in the biggest crowds it has ever seen.

First, news broke of a record-breaking day on Sunday, August 27th. That day saw the highest attendance to any single day at the fair, which was 123,206 people. That was definitely a big day for the state fair... But it wasn't the only one.

According to a post on the Great New York State Fair's Facebook Page, the fair actually broke three different attendance records. But the biggest record was broke, the total attendance for the state fair's 13-day run. According to the Facebook Post, more than 1.3 million people attended the New York State Fair this year! That's a LOT of people. And that's a lot of money coming in for local vendors, the fair, and the state.

It's so great to see that the New York State Fair continues to grow each year, not only in its size and attractions, but in its popularity. But our state fair is one of the biggest in the country, so that's not really a surprise to how many people it ended up bringing in.

The state fair can probably credit some of its new attractions to the growing crowds. Things like the "Broadway Skyliner" Chairlift ride, "Top Cop Police Academy," the expansion of the "Taste NY Food Truck Competition," and a variety of other amenities, attractions, and shows, could have helped with the total attendance to this year's state fair. That, and the fact that they opened the fair a day early (their new "preview day") to make it a 13-day event.

With all the records broken this year, we're wondering what they're going to do, what they're going to add, and other changes they're going to make, so 2018 can be another record-breaking year.
