Beer, pizza, and wings help New York rank as one of the top states for the best food and drink. But where did it fall on the list exactly?

We already know New York belongs on the top of a list that's going to rank states by their food and drinks - There's no question about that. New York belongs within the Top 5 (and I don't think anyone would argue with that). But where exactly did New York fall?

This list was compiled by Thrillist, and it looked into four different aspects to rank each state. Here's the four aspects Thrillist focused on, according to their website:

1) What did they produce (beef, oranges, ugh, sorghum?), 2) What iconic items were they known for (Key lime pie? onion burgers?), 3) What is their beer/wine/spirits production like (great breweries/wineries?), and finally 4) What is the food/drink scene like in their cities?...

So where did New York fall on their list? According to their website, New York took in the number 3 spot. Our amazing beer, our style of pizza, buffalo wings, variety of foods - including seafood from Long Island, helped us make one of the top spots on their list.

What two states beat out New York?

Texas came in at number 2, and the top ranked food and drink state was California. But hey, we ranked higher than almost everybody else.

Way to go New York!
