Every year, the Great New York State Fair gets bigger and better. Obviously, that's true for this year as well.

And because of all the new attractions, the amazing free concerts at the Chevy Court, the delicious fair food and carnival rides, attendance is up once again at the fair. Actually, Sunday (August 27) saw an all-time record for visitors for one day.

According to a post on The Great New York State Fair's Facebook Page, Sunday's attendance was 123,206 people. That's a lot of people at the fairgrounds in one day! With the way things are looking, the state fair could see another record-breaking total for the entire 13-day span of the fair.

Last year, Saturday September 3rd was a record-breaking day with over 120,000 people attending. Sunday's record beat that by quite a bit. And the fair isn't over yet. We could see another surge of people throughout the week and into the weekend.

The New York State Fair is going on now through Labor Day (Monday, September 4th). Tickets are $10 a person at the gate (children 12 and under get in free). There are also special discounts for seniors, discounted tickets for Thursday, and admission on Labor Day is just $1.
