Maintain a healthy weight.

Make exercise part of your routine.

Eat fruits and veggies every day.

Limit how much alcohol you drink.

If you can, breastfeed.

Limit postmenopausal hormone use.

Choose 100 percent whole grain foods as often as you can.

Make sure to get enough calcium and vitamin D daily.

Eat less bad fats and more good fats.

In addition to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, know your breast cancer risk, get screened and know what is normal for you.  All these steps help lower your risk of breast cancer.
