Thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Animal Adventure Park, a 10 year-old Ohio boy had his wish granted.

Alex Johnson was among the millions of people across the country to watch as April the Giraffe gave birth to baby Tajiri on April 15. When Alex, who suffers from a life-threatening seizure disorder was offered a wish through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, his family knew what it would be.

Yesterday, that wish was made into reality. Alex and his family made the almost 400 mile trip from Avon, Ohio to the Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, NY. The family experienced an exclusive behind the scenes tour of the park and met April, Tajiri and his dad, Oliver in person.

"When we received the call from Make-A-Wish, this was truly a no-brainer for us" said Jordan Patch, the owner of the Animal Adventure Park. "April has had such an impact worldwide and we want to ensure that her exposure not only has an impact on animal conservation efforts, but also on any lives that she can touch in a positive way. Alex and his family are wonderful people and we were all happy to meet them and welcome them to our park."
