This CNY Journey heads into East Utica to find out the story behind the lot of old gasoline pumps on First Street.

The pumps belong to the lot owned by Northeast Petroleum Technologies. I found the old pumps on First Street between Mary and Blandina Streets. According to the company's website, they are based in Schenectady and they have a Utica branch location - kind of like Dunder Mifflin from 'The Office.'

I'm not sure if the pumps on the Utica lot are to be recycled, redeployed or discarded, but it is certainly interesting seeing this large lot of old gas pumps. And if you've ever driven by and wondered, now you know.
