If you've ever wanted to take the family out (or just you and your friends or whatever), and go on a nice kayaking adventure - this is the perfect event - Even if you're not the best paddler, or you just want to take it slow and relax. Plus, you get to paddle the locks... The locks - in a kayak! That's awesome!

Now there are two different courses - one that's 10.4 miles, and one that's 4.25 miles. According to Oswego Paddlefest,

CHOOSE THE LONG COURSE AND LAUNCH FROM FULTON OR THE SHORTER COURSE AND LAUNCH FROM MINETTO. ALL COURSES WILL END BETWEEN LOCKS 5 AND 7 IN OSWEGO FOR THE 'ROCK THE LOCKS' EVENT

So after you're all done with your day of paddling, you get to enjoy a nice party, have a meal, and relax! It's sure to be a great time whether you're an expert paddler, a beginner, or just want to watch the event from the shorelines.

The Oswego Paddlefest event happens this Saturday, July 11. If you're looking for more information, or want to pre-register for the event (and save a few bucks), you can check out the Oswego Paddlefest website here.

Good Luck, Enjoy, and Happy Paddling!
