Steak is a rare commodity at our house. We usually have chicken or turkey burgers, since they are easy and inexpensive. But sirloin was on sale at the grocery store so, Pepper Steak is on the 'Light Lunch' menu today.

Chop up a green pepper in bite size chunks and a small onion.  Stir fry both in a wok with a small amount of heated oil and garlic.  When cooked to your preference (I like crunchy veggies) remove from wok.  Cut up sirloin in bite size pieces and stir fry until cooked.

While your cooking, mix a half cup of water with 2 tablespoons of low sodium soy sauce OR 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce(I prefer the soy sauce), 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, a half teaspoon of beef bullion granules. Pour into pan after steak is cooked.  Stir until thick and add veggies.

I served the pepper steak over whole wheat linguini noodles but will use rice the next time around.  It just makes it easier to eat.
