Arian David Horbovetz is a photographer from Rochester who recently paid a visit to Utica. From photos he took in our fair city, he put together a photo blog titled, Utica, New York: A Day Of Fun. A Story Of Hope. His blog went viral and to show appreciation for the support from our community he is offering to take beautiful portraits for a great price and a great cause. If you travel to Downtown Utica at the corners of Genesee and Lafayette Streets, you will be able to get a family, personal, pet, or whatever portrait you would like for only $5! Photos will be taken Saturday, January 31st from 11 a.m. til 2 p.m. Arian says,

I am thrilled to give back to the city that has shown me such amazing kindness and support in the week since the launch of my blog. This is the first step toward what I hope to be a lasting relationship with Utica and it's amazing residents.

All proceeds from this photo shoot opportunity will benefit "On Point for College" which is a local non-profit chosen by Arian for its exemplary work with area students who are the first generation in their families to attend college.

The photos will be a photo booth style where he will take 4 different shots of your choosing and then you will receive an email from Arian with a high resolution file of your portraits. All he asks is that you submit a "Why I Love Utica" statement.
