Pia Toscano Eliminated From ‘American Idol’
April 8, 2011 4:48 AM To me, this is the most shocking elimination of the season. I’m surprised the judges weren’t able to Pia Toscano.
The 22-year-old beauty, who wowed America early on with such performances as ‘I’ll Stand By You,’ ‘All By Myself’ and this week’s ‘River Deep, Mountain High,’ left the show last night and now ‘Idol’ is down to just eight contestants.
Both the judges and the audience were clearly stunned by the results, including Jennifer Lopez, who was in tears. Randy Jackson couldn’t hide his shock, either; the visibly flustered judge could barely keep his jaw off the ground after host Ryan Seacrest read the results.
Still, a tearful Toscano left season 10 on a high note with a beautiful reprise of her hit performance ‘I’ll Stand By You.’
Were you as shocked by tonight’s elimination as we were? Did Pia deserve to get voted off? Or should the judges regret using their save on Casey Abrams?
In my opinion, the best has left the show. I’m not sure if I’ll watch anymore. I didn’t think her last performance was the best, still, enjoy Pia’s show-stopping performance from this week’s episode.
