Now that Stella has left Central New York with her gift of much more snow than was expected, we need to be good samaritans.  We're all in this together, and one very important thing we can do for ourselves and our neighbors is to shovel out the fire hydrants.

The Utica Fire Department's Facebook is requesting help from all of us in getting this done as soon as possible.  If there happens to be a fire in your neighborhood, many minutes will be lost if hydrants aren't immediately available to the fire fighters.

It won't take long, and if you have a snow blower you can do it in a matter of minutes.  It's important, and one of those things to be done after a major snow storm here in Central New York.
