Police Hunt For Gunman Who Shot At Firefighters Near Rochester [UPDATED with VIDEO]
Webster, NY (WIBX) – UPDATE: WHAM-TV (ABC) is reporting two firefighters are dead as houses continue to burn in Webster, New York.
Police continue to secure the scene and search for a gunman who opened fire on firefighters battling a blaze.
We are now receiving reports that two firefighters have been shot and killed at 191 Lake Road. Â Two others have been hospitalized.
The fire has now spread to three homes in the area. Â It is not known if anyone is inside. Â Rescuers are not able to return to the houses until police have cleared the area to ensure that no one else is shot. Â A SWAT team is on the scene.
Webster is near Rochester, near the shore of Lake Ontario.
