The next time you travel from, or pick up passengers at Albany International Airport, don't be shocked to see a 101-pound pot-bellied pig in the terminal.  Bacon Bits is now the official airport ambassador in the state's capital.

Wednesday was the pig's first day on the job, and the Times Union reports that the Mr. Bits wore a Santa suit and drew a crowd.  The porker is now one of a stable of about 30 dogs that greet and comfort flyers and they enter the terminal.

The large pig is owned by terry Hutchinson of Amsterdam.  The pet was given to her two years ago as a surprise when she was recovering from heart surgery.
