As we count down to 2013 I thought I'd check back and see how I did. Let's review.

New York City reclaims its spot as the top the US travel destination from 2011 leader Orlando Florida.
According to travelzone.com, I was right on with this one. Thousands can be counted walking the streets of Manhattan at any given 15 minute period of time. New York City is number one again.

George Clooney wins his second and third Academy Award.
Wrong! George was nominated but did not win, Maybe next year.
- 8
Dr. Oz surpasses Dr. Phil in ratings in a post-Oprah world.
Wrong again Mark! Dr. Phil remains the top talk show, but he isn’t the only doctor with syndicated success. In fourth place among talk shows, Dr. Oz.

McDonald's adds the McRib to its permanent menu.
The McRib sandwich continues reappear on the McDonald's menu but is not permanent. It's expected to return to the menu during the second half of this month. Quite simply, slow sales has not made it a regular item and I was wrong again.

Breakout star of 2012, Nicki Minaj, and we'll forget about Katy Perry.
Nicki Minaj has had quite a year with excellent concert ticket sales, CD sales and her American Idol stint. She has never had much of an issue sharing the spotlight, although she could steal it all on her own. Is she more popular than Katy Perry now? Some say yes, others no. Gonna call this one a draw.

Facebook goes public with world's largest IPO.
I should of just predicted that they'd go public. When Facebook went public it raised about $10 billion, bringing its valuation to around $100 billion. Yes it stock worth is down, but they are one of the world's largest IPO's.

Tiger Woods retires from golf.
Wrong! He's still competing, last month, Rory McIlroy edged Tiger by one stroke 67-68, in a one-day exhibition match at Jinsha Lake Golf Club in Zhengzhou, China.

The Green Bay Packers win the Super Bowl for the second year in a row.
Wrong! I'm getting tired of saying that. After the New York Giants barely made the play-offs, they went all the way to win the Superbowl earlier this year.
- 2
The Boston Red Sox win the World Series.
Wrong again Mark! The World Series was won by the National League champion San Francisco Giants in four games over the American League champion Detroit Tigers. It was the Giants' seventh World Series title, second in the last three years. The Sox didn't even make the play-offs.

President Obama is Re-Elected.
Finally! Yes, The President did get re-elected rather soundly. I didn't think I'd get any more correct...3 out of 10 predictions correct. Nostradamus I'm not. Coming soon, my guesses for 2013.
