Don't shovel that snow from your driveway into the street. You could face a fine.

There's an ordinance in the City of Utica against putting snow in the streets. "No person shall cast, shovel, dump, plow, push or in any other way cause to be placed any snow upon the streets."

Anyone who violates the ordinance and is caught shoveling snow into the road may be fined.

The ordinance is also in effect in Rome. "It shall be unlawful for any person to plow or push snow or ice from private premises onto the public streets, sidewalks or highways of the city."
