Where has Rachael Mattice been for the last two weeks? She told police she was kidnapped and escaped before making it to her mother's home in Johnstown.

State Police and the Hamilton County Sheriff held a press conference to explain the appearance of Mattice after being missing since June 22nd. "Mattice returned home around 12:45am Wednesday, July 6th. She was taken to the hospital to be checked out and was medically cleared a few hours later."

Captain Patnaude of the State Police says Mattice "indicated she was held against her will for the past two weeks." But no other information was given. "We don't know the answers of who held her but we're going to find out. That's all we can say right now."

When asked if the public should be concerned, or what they should be on the lookout for, police reminded everyone to take normal precautions. "Lock doors and cars to stay safe, no matter where you live."

State Police worked with Hamilton County Sheriff's to follow up on 300 leads with K9 and aviation after Mattice went missing from a camp in Wells, New York. Rachael’s father Dave found her vehicle, with the car door open, but she was gone.

Ron Mattice spoke with News Channel 13 about the relief he felt after getting the call Rachael was back home this morning.
