It was the early 1990's.  Disco music was long gone, but club and techno music were huge, and the area's younger crowd loved to dance on television.  The former ROCK 107 held a dance party every Saturday night at Rome's Club Gazebo, and it was broadcast on WFXV, Channel 33 the following day at Noon.  Club Gazebo was inside the Park Inn International in downtown Rome, which is the Quality Inn, located at the corner of James Street and Erie Boulevard West.

I have fun memories of hosting the party.  There was always a great turnout and the enthusiasm was electric.  It was also nice to have a full head of hair and a beard that was not mostly grey or white.  My ROCK 107 friend Big Larry would often show up to help judge the dance contest that was part of the show.

You may spot yourself or an old acquaintance in the video clip of the show below.  I hardly recognize myself, but I do remember that girl in white was named Celeste.  At least I think it was.  The former club is now a Denny's Restaurant.
