The village of Remsen held an impromptu parade and community celebration to celebrate Erin Hamlin's Olympic bronze medal. The parade included dozens of village residents marching with flags and banners. Lite 98.7 was proud to supply the music soundtrack to the evening's celebrations.

The Lite 98.7 van cranked the music from our roof-mounted speakers as we turned out onto the street to the cheers of those who lined the parade route.

It was a really an amazing experience to be a part of the parade. When we arrived in the Remsen High School parking lot after navigating though the dozen fire trucks lining Main Street, we were greeted with a huge crowd waving flags and Erin Hamlin signs and banners.

The parade stepped off for a tour of the village. The Lite 98.7 van cranked the music from our roof-mounted speakers as we turned out onto the street to the cheers of those who lined the parade route. We went down Main Street, turned onto Prospect then made the loop back to the High School. The whole town seemed to turn out for the parade whether they were marching or lining the parade route. The Olympic spirit was overwhelming tonight in Remsen in honor of our Olympian.
