Located in downstate New York, is Donald J. Trump State Park, named after the real estate mogul and 2016 presidential candidate. Due to The Donald's controversial and outspoken stances on the issues of the election, an online petition is seeking to rename the park.

The online petition seeks to rename the park to, well, anything else. The petitioner cites,

Donald Trump's behavior and public statements have been a source of embarrassment for this great nation. He has shown himself to be a bigot, and it is embarrassing that the state of New York has a park named after him, which countless citizens must drive by daily. While we recognize the great gift of land he bequeathed to the state after failing to win approval to build a golf course on it, it is time the state, which is now in full possession of it, disassociate itself with such a terrible person.

The park, located in Westchester and Putnam counties and adjacent to the Taconic State Parkway includes land Trump had purchased hoping to build a golf course and resort. Unable to develop the property, he donated the land to the state in 2006.
